What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files received by the terminal from the visited website and are used to record certain browsing interactions on a website, storing data that can be updated and retrieved. These files are stored on the user’s computer and contain anonymous data that is not harmful to your equipment. They are used to remember user preferences, such as the selected language, access data, or page personalization.

Cookies can also be used to record anonymous information about how a visitor uses a site. For example, from which web page they accessed it, or if they used an advertising “banner” to arrive.

KAMIKAZE uses strictly necessary and essential cookies so that you can use our websites and move freely, use secure areas, personalized options, etc. Additionally, KAMIKAZE uses cookies that collect data related to the analysis of web usage. These are used to help improve customer service by measuring the use and performance of the page to optimize and personalize it.

Our sites may also have social media links (such as Facebook or Twitter). KAMIKAZE does not control the cookies used by these external websites. For more information about social media cookies or other external websites, we advise reviewing their own cookie policies.

This website uses “cookies” in the following manner:

How do we use the different types of cookies?

According to their purpose:

Technical cookies: Technical cookies are those that are essential and strictly necessary for the correct functioning of a web portal and the use of the different options and services it offers. For example, those used for session maintenance, response time management, performance or validation of options, use of security elements, sharing content with social networks, etc.

Personalization cookies: These cookies allow the user to specify or personalize some characteristics of the general options of the website, for example, defining the language, regional configuration, or browser type.

Analytical cookies: Analytical cookies are those used by our web portal to create browsing profiles and to understand the preferences of its users in order to improve the range of products and services. For example, an analytical cookie would monitor the geographical areas of greatest interest to a user, which product is most widely accepted, etc.

Advertising cookies: Advertising cookies allow for the management of advertising spaces based on specific criteria. For example, access frequency, edited content, etc. Through advertising management, these cookies allow for the storage of behavioral information by observing habits, studying access, and forming a profile of user preferences to offer advertising related to their profile interests.

According to duration:

Session cookies: Session cookies are those that last for the duration of the user’s browsing on the website and are deleted at the end.

Persistent cookies: These cookies remain stored on the user’s terminal for a longer period, thus facilitating the control of chosen preferences without having to repeat certain parameters each time the website is visited.

These cookies must comply with the GDPR-EU-2016/679, the LOPD-3/2018 on the Guarantee of Digital Rights, and the LSSI-CE regulations.

Why do we need your explicit consent to use them?

Judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, dated October 1, 2019, and the AEPD Guide on the use of cookies, July 2020.

The judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, dated October 1, 2019, must be interpreted to mean that consent is not validly given when the storage of information, or access to information already stored in the terminal equipment of a website user via cookies, is authorized by means of a pre-checked box which the user must uncheck to refuse its use. In this sense, authorization must be based on explicit consent through an explicit acceptance checkbox, a rejection checkbox by the user, and a checkbox for more information regarding the cookies displayed.

This interpretation cannot vary depending on whether the information stored or accessed on the user’s terminal of an internet site consists of personal data or not.

The Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union also stipulates in this judgment that the information the service provider must provide to the website user must include the duration for which the cookies will remain active and the possibility of third parties accessing the information they store. This requirement is established by the version modified by Directive 2009/136, which amends Article 5, paragraph 3, of Directive 2002/58/EC, and by the AEPD Guide of July 2020.

Regarding the possibility for the user to reject the use of cookies, please note that if you reject or delete browsing cookies, we will not be able to maintain your preferences, some features of the pages will not be operational, we will not be able to offer you personalized services, and every time you browse our website, we will have to request your authorization for the use of cookies again.

If you still decide to modify your access configuration to the website, you should know that it is possible to delete cookies or prevent this information from being recorded on your equipment at any time by modifying your browser’s configuration parameters:
