Judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, dated October 1, 2019, and the AEPD Guide on the use of cookies, July 2020.
The judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, dated October 1, 2019, must be interpreted to mean that consent is not validly given when the storage of information, or access to information already stored in the terminal equipment of a website user via cookies, is authorized by means of a pre-checked box which the user must uncheck to refuse its use.
